Hi SHE Fam! Happy Wednesday! I’ll start by saying that I hope your week is going well thus far.

Today’s post derives from a conversation that I recently had with my husband regarding people’s thought process on how to treat you. We both agreed that your character can train others how to treat you. Your character; meaning the vibes you send off, the manner in which you carry yourself and your ability to treat other’s well.

Let me explain….trained treatment…

The vibes you send are critical in how people treat you. It’s important to exude an assertiveness that informs people who you are aware of your surroundings and your place in the universe. You must also maintain a positive posture. This will remove many of the grey areas people may have about the type of person you are.

The manner in which you carry yourself is very important. People respect you when you respect yourself. You control the information you hear and see. You also have control into what you allow. It’s equally important to allow your presence to be appreciated. We don’t live for others to like us and believe me everyone won’t, but we live to honor and glorify God. When people appreciate your presence, they see the best in you and want you around.

We all know the golden rule…treat other’s how you want to be treated. This alone will get you so far and people will consider you just as you consider them. Treating people well doesn’t make you a door mat. People should never take your kindness for weakness. When dealing with people, I’ve learned to put myself in their shoes all while walking in my purpose. Be true to who you are even when being kind.

Training people on how to treat you starts with knowing yourself and taking care of yourself. Be truthful, be kind and always remember that you are a child of God.

From my inspirational corner to yours, have a blessed day.
