Award shows have been amongst us as of lately. We’ve drilled in on the Golden Globes and The Grammys this year and what better way to spend your Sunday night than by watching the Oscars. As always, E Online gives us the red carpet beauties and baddies.

I’ve posted my favorite three looks of the night on Instagram of Kerry Washington, Zoe Saldana and Chrissy Teigen. It comes as no surprise that these ladies owned their craft and the night on the red carpet. For this post, we want to take a different direction and look at the ladies who owned the night and the right to stand next to their man. Yes, we’re looking at the dynamic duos.

We often post about stunning beauties rather their celebrities or ourselves. Today we will use the Oscars to focus in on how important it is to accommodate your significant other. Rather you’re going to church on Sunday or the next Oscars, standing next to your man, all while fabulous should be the first order of business.

These lovely ladies standing next to their man looked amazing, for no other reason than the fact that they have awesome taste. Neither of the ladies featured below were nominated, but instead they were either names we know or with guest of those we love.

Enikko Parrish and Kevin Hart
Eniko Parrish, Kevin Hart
Gorgeous is an understatement. Enikko Parrish takes complete ownership as Kevin Hart’s right hand with her sleek yet sophisticated look. I particularly love her unapologetic beauty and posture. Yes it’s no surprise that she is taller than her fiancé, however, her soft and natural beauty compliments his masculine style. When accompanying your man, it’s important to match his fresh and exude personality.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
A force when they’re together. Chrissy owned the night all by herself, but she and John make a stunning couple. The simplicity of his look really did give her the opportunity to shine. She gave us color and skin and her hair looked amazing. This is the perfect example of being the leading lady in his life.

Looking good when standing next to your man is vital on the red carpet. Other couples who weren’t at the Oscars who always look good when we see them together are Kim Kardashian/Kanye West and Beyoncé/Jay-Z. And like anything, there are fashion rules you must abide by when on the red carpet with your man.

1. Look Classy and Kept. You’re not alone, nor are you looking for anyone. It’s a fine line between looking sexy and keeping it safe. Remember your appearance is a reflection of the both of you.
2. Own the Look and His Right Hand. Come correct and with confidence when standing next to your man. Your confidence will exude through your style and grace.
3. Remember you’re more than A Pretty Face. Complimenting your man comes with more than your face but your presence. I’ll reference Chrissy Teigen in that she not only looks amazing but has the right personality to compliment John and own the room.
