By now you have watched the BET Awards, twice.  That is plenty of time for you to have formed a solid opinion about your favorite looks of the night.  Did you by any chance rank your favorites by their hairstyles? If not, no worries; I’ve got you covered with the BET awards best hair.

Top Three BET Awards Best Hair Looks of the night go to:

Lola Monroe: Sweet and Hard

Lola Monroe, best know for her raw Hip Hop music, owned the red carpet with her hair and accessories.  You can score this look by adding in 3 bundles of Sheena’s Hair Emporium Virgin Indian Body Wave. Make sure you smooth those edges with my favorite edge control – Kera Care Edge Tamer and add your gold hair chain from stylesforless.com. This angelic look, right down from the soft peach to the halo hair accessories made us forget all about Lola’s hardcore lyrics.

Hardcore on the inside but Angelic on the outside

Brandy: Natural or Nah

Brandy kept it simple with the black and grey but decided to bring the drama with her hair. She killed this look. The natural look is in whether or not you are really natural.  This moment has gone past accepting our hair, it is a statement. At this point, we all want to make the statement.  For those of us who don’t like to commit to a hairstyle we turn to hair extensions.  You can have this look with 4 bundles of the newest texture from Sheena’s Hair Emporium – Heat Free Ultra Kinky Curly. Depending on your head size and face shape, you can use 3-4 bundles and an awesome cut.  I recommend you visit your stylist for a consultation on how to work this hair into framing your face. Together, you can determine the lengths needed, as well.

Zendaya: 90’s Flashback

Zendaya never wears the same hair, twice.  She is unapologetic about her hair, and for that reason alone, we are one of her outspoken stans. Don’t come for her, or we will come for you. That’s what real fans do.  They give you kudos for having the BET Awards best hair. Her short cut gave me flashbacks to days of Halle Berry or Toni Braxton serving up that cut in the 90’s. She wears this style well.  Then, again – what style does she not wear well? To get the look, add in 3 bundles of Sheena’s Hair Emporium – Virgin Indian Straight and get in touch with a BAD stylist who will give you the CUT to set this look off.  You may or may not want to add a good closure depending on your hair texture. (See the guide to closures here.)

Zendaya is unapologetic for changing her hair up and not giving in to how critics think she should style it – She gives them the W for WHATEVS

I had a few others who tugged at the beauty/fashion/hair part of my heart, but theses three women were so versatile that they stuck out to me the most because of how untraditional or unlike their usual selves they were on this night where tradition can be thrown out the window. Trying new styles with your hair is an expression and to do it on the red carpet is fearless and commendable.

Who had your favorite hairstyles at the BET Awards this year? Did these three ladies make your list?
